Welcome to Crestview Elementary School—home of the Cougars!

It is a true privilege to serve as the principal of Crestview, a school that holds a very special place in my heart. As a military spouse, former Crestview teacher, and proud parent of four children who all attended this school, I know firsthand how unique and supportive this community is. Crestview isn't just where I work—it’s home.

Nestled on Vandenberg Space Force Base, Crestview serves a diverse and resilient group of students, many of whom come from military-connected families. We understand the challenges that come with transitions and deployments, and we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where every child is known, valued, and supported.

Our school is built on strong partnerships—between students, families, staff, and the broader community. We believe that learning is a shared journey, and we work together to ensure every child receives a well-rounded education grounded in academic rigor, social-emotional learning, and character development.

Through engaging instruction, leadership opportunities, arts and STEM enrichment, and schoolwide traditions, we strive to make Crestview a place where students are excited to learn and grow. I am honored to continue this journey alongside our incredible team of educators and families.

Thank you for being a part of our Cougar community. I look forward to another joyful and successful year together!

Warmly,
Cristina Settje
